ARRIVING IN BAIONA

Baiona is approximately 20 km southwest of the Vigo city and 50 km from Pontevedra. The best way to arrive to Baiona is trough Vigo. Vigo is very well communicated with other Galician, National and International cities. Thanks to its airport, harbor, motorways and railways there exits a large transport offer to all prices and needs. See next some general recommendations.


BY PLANE

Baiona is linked by the AP-9 motorway with all Galician airports. It is located at about 20 minutes from the Vigo Airport, which is about 10 km from the Vigo city centre. It has an extend offer of regular flights with Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Canarias, Alicante, Seville, Baleares, Valencia and Malaga; and international connections with Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Lisbon.

Other useful close airports with a number of national and international connections are Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and Porto (Portugal) airports. Santiago is about 100 km from Vigo and Porto about 150 km from Vigo.


BY BUS

Main bus connection links Vigo with Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias, Bilbao, Irun, San Sebastian, Zaragoza, Extremadura, and Andalucía. Also, there are some international routes with Portugal (Porto, Lisbon and Algarve), France, Switzerland, Belgian, Holland, Denmark, Germany and Morocco.

BY TRAIN

Vigo is linked daily by train with other Galician cities as Ourense, Pontevedra, Santiago and A Coruña, as well as Portugal (Porto). Also, there are trains to Madrid, Barcelona, León, Irun, Ponferrada and Alicante.

BY CAR

Baiona is linked with the Vigo city centre (20 km) in about 25 minute's trough the A9 motorway. There is three possible ways to arrive Vigo by car:


1. The northwest motorway links Vigo with Madrid, through the A-52 motorway until Benavente and then trough the A-6 motorway until Madrid.

2. The Rías Baixas motorway connects Vigo with the North of Portugal trough Tui, Braga, Porto until Lisbon. This motorway is connected with the Vigo-Baiona motorway.

3. The Atlantic motorway links Vigo with the north of Galicia, trough Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña.
